Iliad does fieldbuilding and research aimed at maturing AI safety as a science.
On the fieldbuilding side, we run the Iliad Intensive to teach AI safety, host conferences and a research Fellowship, and will be launching the Alignment Journal in August 2026.
On the research side, Iliad incubates technical research organizations. We are interested in funding theory research that generates concrete, experimentally testable predictions, as well as supporting methodologically mature, theoretically informed experiments whose results can advance the theory. Train
The Iliad Intensive is a 4-week taught course in AI safety. Intensive Participants are supported with $5k of travel-and-housing funding.
The Iliad Fellowship is a 3-month research fellowship in applied mathematics for AI alignment. Iliad Fellows are supported with $18k of travel-and-housing funding.
